December 12TH Movement is holding a press conference to highlight the urgency of passing the NYS Reparations legislation being put forward by New York State Senator Jabari Brisport and New York State Assemblymember Michaelle Solages.
Local elected officials, including City Councilmember Charles Barron, who, as an Assemblymember, originally submitted the bill, are expected to attend. Representatives from the December 12th Movement, the Institute of the Black World and N’COBRA, as well as other community organizations will attend.
